Kean’s Head

Kean’s Head is located opposite the beautiful St Mary’s church in the middle of the Lace Market and, arguably, offers the widest range of drinks in the city...

Somewhat of a hidden gem as it’s not on a main road, the Kean’s Head could simply be put under the label of a ‘proper pub’, but it is so much more than that. While it serves pub classics for food - including delicious pork pies - the beer selection is anything but traditional. With ten rotating craft taps, fridges packed full of everything from imperial stouts to Belgian trappist beers, and five real ale pumps, you could be stumped for choice here.

To make matters even more complicated, they also stock over sixty whiskeys, sixty gins and twenty rums - and even more taps with premium lagers and ciders on them. You may be able to find the pub, but there’s no guarantee you can navigate the menu.
