The Castle Rock Yard Party 2019 Preview

The Castle Rock Yard Party returns for another year and promises to be bigger and better than ever...

Like a highly anticipated Hollywood sequel, the Castle Rock Yard Party is back for another year with the promise of making everything bigger and better than the previous entry.

Taking place on both the 17 and 18 of May, the Yard Party is a great way to kick off the summer and top up those Vitamin D levels that would have eroded away in the cold, harsh winter months. With live music, good food and, most importantly, more great beer than you can shake a stick at, the Yard Party has become an unmissable event in the Notts beer scene.

On the taps there will be a choice of over sixty beers in either cask or keg; from Castle Rock classics, to a selection of beers and ciders from other breweries based near and far. There are also beer related events on during the sessions, such as a Castle Rock brewery tours where you’ll get to see where the magic happens.

The Yard Party isn’t just about beer, however. There’ll be plenty of live music which has been carefully curated by legendary Notts venue The Maze, and includes some of the city’s finest musical acts - look out for the particularly groovy band, Fat Digester, playing Friday at 9:30pm. There will also be a Comedy Club corner to ensure that the sound of laughter fills the gentle and warm early summer air.

Mysteriously, Castle Rock have mentioned that they’ve got some ‘surprises’ planned so, if the cliffhanger of not knowing what these surprises are is unbearable, make sure to pick up a ticket. But wait, there’s more. When you purchase a ticket for the Yard Party, it also entitles you to a 20% discount when buying a discount for our very own Nottingham Craft Beer Festival at Sneinton Market on the 14 and 15 of June - every little helps.

Last, but by no means least, is the food, which will be run by the legendary Nottingham Street Food Club. Of course, Homeboys will be there serving up tasty Japanese inspired soul food, as well as South American inspired Smoqued Food and Big Melt, the cheese-toastie specialists who will be making an appearance on the Saturday.

Last year, the Yard Party was a hoot and we’re definitely glad Castle Rock have decided to throw another event this year. Early summertime weather, plenty of great beer, food and music, all in the name of celebrating brewing, and all in one place: the ticket link is below.
